We could try to live based on our thoughts alone, but then the question arises, would we have progressed this far, if it was not for the influence of others thoughts and beliefs. The red dot on it's own is just a red dot, but by giving it a meaning, a karmic chain of events was born. It's significance can only be found by tracking the chain of events. The down side, as with all karma, the consequences are unpredicatable.
